BVS has an immediate opening for a full-time Class A CDL - Hazmat Truck Driver to drive regionally throughout Arkansas and the surrounding area. This role is responsible for the delivery of orders to BVS customers, primarily in a local/regional area for interstate commerce.

Time at Home Typical Regional drivers are out overnight up to 3 to 4 nights per week and home every weekend.
Responsibilities:

Operates a semi-truck and safely transports products/backhauls in a timely manner, according to applicable state and federal transportation laws/regulations.

Transport products to BVS customer locations daily with occasional overnight travel.

Interact with customers using kindness and a positive attitude while inquiring about their needs during product delivery.

Acts as the face of BVS representing the company in a professional and ethical manner.

Communicate with Warehouse Manager to schedule delivery and routes for the week.

Responsible for contents of vehicle, ensuring that everything is appropriately packed, strapped and is within the parameters of all DOT and FMCSA regulations (i.e., weight, HAZMAT).

Perform all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck. and trailer according to DOT regulations and company safety standards reporting all safety issues and/or repairs required.

Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, hazardous materials and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to appropriate staff when delivery route is complete.

Work closely with Transportation Manager to facilitate routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; report maintenance malfunctions to Transportation Manager.

Responsible for proper procedures with electronic driver log system.

Load/unload products onto truck following safety guidelines.

Maintain positive relationships with warehouse personnel and customers.

Perform backhauls as needed.

Requirements
Requirements:
- Class A CDL with current medical card
- Hazmat and tanker endorsements,
- Must be able to lift over 50lbs on a regular basis
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years’ experience or equivalent
- Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect customer and employee safety
Working Conditions:
- Varying working conditions from climate-controlled distribution center, to working outdoors in inclement weather conditions
- Prolonged periods of driving.
- Working with and around industrial hazards
- May be required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours
